As can be seen in the photos below the PHC factory in India is now complete and production is underway.

Work is now almost complete on the external structure and work is beginning on the internal part of the factory. To aid with this work the roadways in and around the factory are being marked out and constructed.

The floor inside the factory is now complete and ready to work with. The external walls have progressed very well from last month and are now very close to completion.

The monthly update is upon us again and as you can see the uprights are now complete with the roof in place and work is well underway on the external wall construction and floor.

PHC Headquarters Making A Move

Precision Hydraulic Cylinders Inc. announced it is relocating its headquarters to Wilmington from Duplin County and has named Jon Martin as director of operations North America.
PHC is a privately held company that manufactures hydraulic cylinders primarily used in mobile equipment applications, and customers are typically makers of industrial trucks and earth moving vehicles.
The company's North America based senior executive staff will move to the Charleston Place office complex in the Porters Neck area and the facility will also accommodate the design engineering management team and a support staff , according to Chris Barclay, PHC president and CEO.
The company will maintain its two manufacturing plants in Duplin County, employing 150 in Beulaville and Wallace, Barclay said.
PHC has wholly owned manufacturing operations in Cramlington, England and a production facility under construction in Chennai, India, which is scheduled for completion in May. The European operations employ 52 people.
The India operations will initially employ 30 people, the company said.

We are now into 2007 and thought it would be of benefit to show the current status of construction at PHC India. As can be seen from the photos shown below the building is now starting to rise from the ground and is taking shape.

PHC is very excited to announce that construction has begun on their new manufacturing plant, Precision Hydraulics Private Limited, located in the Gummidipoondi district of Chennai, India.
This brand-new, purpose built facility will allow the global reach of PHC to become firmly established whilst harnessing the advantages of a low-cost country. There will be no compromise in quality standards and it affords both PHC and its partners the opportunity to achieve maximum cost benefits and production flexibility.
Work is estimated to be completed by Spring 2007 with production due to commence in Summer 2007.
